Blind Spots

““What no eye has seen,
what no ear has heard,
and what no human mind has conceived”—
the things God has prepared for those who love him—”

-1 Corinthians 2:9

We are all born with blind spots. An area of the eye that obstructs vision, often called the dead spot. What about our spiritual blind spots? Our sinful nature is our blind spot. These dead spots are insensitive to God’s voice. Preventing our ability to see and understand what God’s intentions toward man really are. Praise God for his gift to us all, Jesus. We now can have insight through the Holy Spirit that dwells in us. God has given us the amazing opportunity to walk freely in the light, rather than continual stumble in the dark.

  • Blind spots may create FEAR: Many live with paralyzing feelings caused by the fear of the unknown. Often times preventing you from moving forward in life or daily activities. Through Christ we can have peace and reassurance we can overcome because He has overcome the world. Allowing us to face life and it’s challenges with courage.
  • Blind spots can be a STUMBLING BLOCK: As believers we can become a hazard to others with our careless living or behaviors. For some it’s knowing the truth and not allowing God to transform our lives through His word. Others it’s just not taking the time to get to know Him for who He really is. Therefore not reflecting God’s true character in us and His life changing power.
  • Blind spots may give you a false sense of INNOCENCE: It’s very common to try and justify oneself when unaware you truly are at fault. Reality is that no one is innocent and the minute we convince ourself we are free from sin we are mistaken. God is continually working in us and bringing us to perfection. We make a huge mistake the minute we think he’s done with us.

Our sinful nature limit us from living an abundant live apart from God. Do you want clarity in all areas of your life. We can have guidance in all areas of our lives through God’s word. His desire is that we seek after truth and start living abundantly in the knowledge of Christ so we may have light in our blind spots.

“Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.” In Jesus name I pray, Amen. -Psalm 139‬:‭23-24‬
