Lost in the Mystery of HIS Victory

“But Mary stood outside by the tomb weeping, and as she wept she stooped down and looked into the tomb.” -John 20:11

How long will you weep outside an empty tomb?

Following in someones foot steps is easy when we can see, feel and touch them. What happens when they are no longer around? We stop dead in our tracks and cannot walk anymore. Thanks to God we do not follow the foots steps of an ordinary man. Jesus has never left us and is closer than before.

Mary Magdalene and the disciples followed after Jesus closely. Learning and watching him do and say miraculous things. It was hard for them to see Jesus go and even more difficult for them to believe he would truly rise from the dead. As long as he was around the thought was far and almost absent from their minds. How often do you think of your loved ones leaving this earth?

Mary wept outside the tomb for the body of her Lord. The pain of her loss was so much that she didn’t think once that she would see Jesus again after death…

Thanks be to God for His great mercy that we can now see Jesus at the finish line of our faith. Instead of focusing on our present circumstances we should focus our eyes on where Jesus stands… at the right hand of God. He is the author and finisher of our faith. He stands victorious for us at the finish line with open arms.
