Resistance = Strength

Staying in shape isn’t easy! There is a lot that your mind and body will endure as you build stronger muscles. Not only does exercising help you look and feel great, it restores weak muscles, helps maintain good posture and increases overall strength. The same goes for our spiritual life, as we gain spiritual strength we will have to endure in the mind and body. Gaining strength from the inside out is a job that only the Holy Spirit can help us accomplish. By what means you may ask? RESISTANCE!!!

  • Resistance begins  with the inner manIt all starts with you and spending time in God’s word. Thus being able to make decisions, have a plan (or create boundaries) and taking action. God wants to renew our minds so that we can be able to walk daily according to His will. So that in the event that we fall off our spiritual exercises we are fully aware that it isn’t God’s fault, but our own failure to resist.
  • What are the benefits of resistanceWhen we resist, all the bondage Satan thought he had over us begins to fade. Resisting leads to balance, strength & endurance. Resistance is necessary for building strong spiritual muscles. This is all possible through the victory Jesus gained for you and I on the cross.
  • What are our resources? We need to have the proper attire to exercise. God has given us the resources to resist the devil in the difficult times. The power is in the weapons God has provided for us. Are you ready for spiritual fitnessSuit up!!

“Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world. But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you. To him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.” -1 Peter 5:6-11
