Single Moments #12: You know the hardest part about relationships is having to discover and bare the others faults and short comings. I am aware that I have my own faults and short comings. But what I have discovered was that I was the only one keeping myself from having meaningful relationships. The truth was that I was not easily tenant to want to bare someone else’s faults. I had grown tired and selfish from doing so. God calls us to bare one another’s faults. In other words God is calling us to grow by having meaningful relationships and not to avoid them. We weren’t meant to be alone and baring someone else’s faults is impossible to do without LOVE! Not just any ordinary human love. This is the kind of Love that comes from God. How do we know we have this kind of love… well if we know God we should know what it looks like. The more we read Gods word we all can know it and know what it should look like, sound like, act, think and speak. Let’s not run from relationships. Rather challenge our self to honor God by loving others as God loves us. “Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.” -Galatians 6:2 … Kevin LeVar – A Heart That Forgives … 8.11.14

Single Moments #11: No matter what my status is single,in a relationship, married, widow or divorced. There are always going to be temptations. Just like every winning or losing team has a coach we also have our spiritual coach. God through His word can give us pep talks, high fives, pat on the back, encouragement and some good ole scolding. All this to see us overcome temptation. It’s not going to be easy! It’s gonna take pain, training, abstinence, determination, discipline and heart. Do you want to win? Trust God with your status today and he willm give you the desires of your heart. “Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper withersoever thou goest.” – Joshua 1:7 … 7.11.14

Single Moments #10: The hardest part of any healing heart is not the brokenness. The struggle is with the ache of the all of a sudden, unexpected rise of memories made. The pain is not because you can’t have things the way they used to be, but rather the waiting for the pain of them to subside. A part of you may not want to forget, but the other says, “One day it will just be a painless memory”. I thank God that He is my refuge in time of need. My shelter in my weakest moments. When I draw near to Him I am reminded of His reckless love for me. How long did He wait for me to draw near? How many times did I grieved the Spirit of God with my actions? I am thankful that His everlasting love is filling the gaps of this broken heart and creating one of everlasting love. … 7.13.13

Single Moments #9: We will never read the mind of another. Never know the their true intentions or fully know the desires of their heart. Let’s not fool ourselves reacting to every single wave of emotions, feelings or impulses. Truth is that we can be fooled by our own hearts and its desires. We must learn to be guided by the Spirit of God and test each spirit that comes into our life. His word says “guard your heart above all things” and in Him is our only refuge. If we leave it up to ourselves we will make a mess of things. Trust Him today with your heart! … 5.18.13

Single Moments #7: That moment you miss someone so much… and in the quietness of your heart He whispers, “Hold on I have a plan. This ache you feel is not in vain.” I know You are not done with me yet. Single Moments #6: I will wait for you… “Place me like a seal over your heart, like a seal on your arm; for love is as strong as death, its jealousy unyielding as the grave. It burns like blazing fire, like a mighty flame.” -Song of Solomon 8:6 …

Single Moments #5: “I desire your will above mine. So even if you call me to a life of single-ness. My heart is content with you the one who was sent. You are the greatest love story ever told. Single Moments #4: Ever run into a blast of the past? That old relationship gone bad? Suddenly, the memories that rush back are of anger, resentment, hurt or pain. What do you do? Is it your opportunity to get even or ignore? No! This is the perfect opportunity to show the love and forgiveness you have received through Jesus. We do not live today through the memories of the past. If God has truly forgiven you… then truly do the same. “By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” -John 13:35… 1.21.13

Single Moments #3: Happiness is not just wearing a smile on your face… It is the permanent smile you wear in your heart 🙂 “And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” -Philippians 4:7… 1.19.13 *enjoy every season*

Single Moments #2: My life isn’t measured by the number of times I’ve fallen. It is measured by the times I’ve stood up to take His hand and did not let go. Accepting His forgiveness gives you the strength to get back on your feet & obedience are the step that keep you from falling. “Jesus replied, “Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them.”” -John 14:23… 1.18.13

Single Moments #1: Sometimes it’s hard to let go, but this truth will set you free. Stop holding on to a lie! Follow the Spirits leading, not your heart. You know when he or she has to go. It’s not easy, it’s going to take time, it’s gonna hurt, but it won’t kill you. Start taking those steps towards your break through. Walk by FAITH not by sight… by FAITH not by emotion. Let the one who knows your heart carry the weight. “The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it? “I the Lord search the heart and examine the mind, to reward each person according to their conduct, according to what their deeds deserve.” – Jeremiah 17:9-10… True + Love + Waits:1.10.13
